Hydraulic/Pneumatic Seals

Hydraulic machines and tools use liquid fluid power to do simple work. Heavy equipment is a common example. In this type of machine, hydraulic fluid is transmitted throughout to various hydraulic motors and cylinders which become pressurized. The fluid is controlled directly or automatically by control valves and distributed through hoses and tubes. The popularity of hydraulic machinery is due to the very large amount of power that can be transferred through small tubes and flexible hoses, and the high power density and wide array of actuators that can make use of this power.

Pneumatic systems are used extensively in industry, and factories are commonly plumbed with compressed air or compressed inert gases. This is because a centrally located and electrically powered compressor powers cylinders and other pneumatic devices through solenoid valves.

Some of the more common hydraulic and pneumatic seals are:

Polypacks

T-Seals

Glyde Rings

Vee Sets

U-Cups

Piston Cups

There are so many different types of seals available make sure to give us a call.

Rod Seals & Components

Rod seals serve two purposes. They are used to keep the fluid in and

Also keep dirt or other contaminants out or the machinery.

Piston Seals & Components

A Hydraulic or Pneumatic seal is captured in a groove or fixed in a combination of rings, forming a seal assembly, to block or separate a fluid in a reciprocating motion applications. Hydraulic & Pneumatic seals are vital in machinery.
